Back in Autumn, we received the October 2015 report from Anna Moody. She is the manager of Alkborough Nature Reserve and one of our lovely members. With the day set of Saturday 5th December for a Winter walk, the report contained lots of information about the plethora of wildlife making their home at the reserve, be it permanently or as a stopover for more far-flung climes. The day in question arrived quickly and the weather was cold and windy. Members of YDCCSC had a walk around Alkborough Nature Reserve wrapped up in waterproofs, winter hats and gloves. Anna Moody was obviously well within her element and pointed out many points of interest. She even showed us areas where she had found otter scat – unfortunately we didn’t get to see an otter but it was magical to think they were close by or had pass through recently.
